Thanks goes to my friend Leigh for inspiring me to finally share my blogspot with others! I saw hers today and because she was joking about "trying to figure this out", I felt justified in my naivity. Here's an update on what's going on with the Beagles....
We just returned from a week in Mexico. We were feeling brave and went to a new resort-NOT a good idea! We arrived to find every high school graduate this side of the Mississippi at the resort, enjoying the Mexican drinking age of 18, and partying all over the resort. (has it really been 10 years since I did the same thing???) Our room was great so we considered that a building block. Things just continued to get worse and the final straw was seeing a bartender grab a used glass from the bar, rinse it out (not wash....just rinse), and re-serve it to a new couple. Needless to say, we got online and booked a room at our "usual" resort for the next day. We checked out early the next morning and headed about 15 miles to our new casa.....the rest of the week went very smoothly. Matt and I had such a great time and both felt like it was a second honeymoon. While we always enjoy our travels and time together, this trip just felt different and we both felt a sense of "reconnection". Aaaaaah Mehico!!!
The lakehouse is a bit stalled, as we wait for the countertops to be installed. After next week it should be complete and we will begin the lovely task of moving in.....calling ALL friends! :) Don't you love when friends call you to help move when you have a truck? I think Matt and I have decided to sell our house, our other lake lot and move in up there. (anyone know someone looking for a house??) This would allow us to become debt free and start building our home on our land. While it wouldn't be the most convenient thing to live in Smithville, who can complain about "roughing it" in a new, beautiful lakehouse?!? Seriously.......
I'm spending some time enjoying all of my friends' new babies! I just love getting all the pictures and updates. It helps me feel like I'm "in the mix of mommyhood" while having the sleep-filled nights of no children. To all of my friends with little ones-keep the pics coming...they are soo cute! Hopefully the stork will come visit Matt and I before I grow too old and set in my ways :))
I guess that's about it for now. Thanks for checking in with the Beagles!
Cheers for now :)

Hey Friend!! I am so excited we are attempting this together! The accountability will be good. We can't get lazy and let this be our only update! Life is way too....well, life, to cover on a blog!
The lake house looks amazing! I am so ready to be there - all the time, so get ready! You may regret making the offer! And you know that you can count on me to help with the move! :)
I am so glad you decided to share your blog!
It's SO good to hear what's going on in your lives! I meant to post a comment earlier, and I forgot to come back and do it! I can't believe you guys are moving (or already moved?) to Smithville! Although, I can't say I blame you! I'm really excited for you guys! Hmmmm... now we have to figure out a way for you guys to get massages, b/c I know you need one =) Haha... I hope you guys are doing great and everything is going smooth!-Christina
