Gettin' the hang of this!

While I haven't shared our blogspot with anyone so far, I'm extremely pleased with the progress I'm making in this new world of technology :) Once I feel like I have something interesting to share....look out everyone, here I come! For now, I'm having a blast checking out my other friends' blogspot-thanks Tanya and Katie for introducing me to an on-line journal that keeps everyone in touch with what's going on.
Today is looking to be a busy day....I have 8 clients on my schedule and then go straight to BUNCO night at Debra's. I'm pretty sure I will be speaking gibberish by the time my 6,7,8 clients arrive. Being new into the private practice world, I'm still building up my stamina to counsel so many people 8 hours in a row! The good news is that I even have 8 people on my schedule. It has taken a few months to build up but hopefully I'll keep some momentum going.
Now about bunco, I've never played and am already a bit confused by reading the rules. For anyone who's played before....any advice for the rookie? I'm extremely competitive and will not be happy with 2nd place :))
Matt is heading to Smithville today to sign the contract we received on our Hayes Street flip house......yeahhhhh! For anyone who didn't know, Matt and I are just getting our feet wet into the real estate world. We built and sold a new house about a year ago (made a tiny profit...better than a loss, right?), bought and sold 4 lots in a subdivision (made an even better profit...things are looking up!), bought a small house in foreclosure and completely remodeled it for re-sale (this is the one we just sold for a + monthly cash flow), bought a house locally that we owner financed to a newly wed couple for their first home (+ monthly cash flow, again!) and last but not least we are finishing up a lakehouse on Center Hill Lake. This is where the dilemma lies....the lakehouse is turning out to be beautiful and I'm wanting to move in up there! I'd love to sell our house, move in up at the lake, save some money and start building on our 5 acres out on the river. So, here's how you can help:) Everyone tell Matt what a great idea that would be as I have him just on the edge of jumping off into insanity with me!! I will try to post some pictures of the lakehouse.
Well, I need to run get ready for work. Hopefully many of you will be reading this soon-when I get the nerve to send others our blog address! Have a great day....wherever you are.

Sunrise above Haleakala, a dormant volcano in Maui

As Morgan Freeman says in The Bucket List, you should "witness something majestic" before you die. Well I can say with 100% certainty that this was my moment. Matt and I took a sunrise tour of Haleakala, a dormant volcano in Maui and it was well worth the 2:30 am departure and 2 hour drive up to the top. The 30 mile bike ride down was also an awesome experience. This picture cannot begin to do justice to the view from above, but hopefully it has inspired someone to cherish the beauty nature has to offer.
(Notice that the sun is rising above a sheet of clouds that we are standing above. We were actually standing at 10,000 feet above sea level.)
